My "Word" for 2026
Every year, I choose a "Word of the Year." Usually, it comes to me quickly, but this year? I’ve struggled. I wanted something that felt substantial, something that could carry the weight of my ambitions for this year. But most importantly, a word that is in alignment with God's will for me this year.
I kept circling back to a series my church has been doing lately that stopped me in my tracks: On Purpose.
I know, I know, it’s two words, not one. But it felt so relevant that I couldn’t ignore it. To me, living "On Purpose" means moving with coordinated intention.
In a world that constantly asks us to react, to emails, to kids, to trends, to the "fog", being purposeful is a revolutionary act. It’s the difference between just getting through the day and actually designing your day.
Whether it’s how I show up for my family, how I serve my clients, or even how I choose the pieces in my closet, I want every move to be intentional. No more "accidental" mornings or "distracted" decisions. I can't control my day, but I can control being rooted in the bible that guides my heart, my thoughts, and my steps.
This year, we are doing it on purpose.
How are you approaching your goals this month? Are you moving with intention, or are you still waiting for the fog to clear? I’d love to hear what "On Purpose" looks like for you
