My sister influenced me to pick a word some years ago that represented my intentions for the new year. In continuing that tradition, this year my word for 2023 is “EXPECTANT”.
I was reading a @proverbs31 devotion and "expectant" stood out to me. I wasn’t even looking for a word. I was
reading the December 30th devotion 12 New-Year Reminders To Read Before 2023.
“Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
Instead of dwelling on the hard parts of this year, choose to leave the past in the past. And stay EXPECTANT — God is doing something new in 2023!”
