As we navigate the chilly depths of winter, keeping our workwear stylish and warm becomes a top priority. While some are fortunate to work remotely, there are still those days when we need to step out and face the cold. Fear not! I've gathered some tried-and-true tips to help you stay polished, pulled together, and snug during these frosty days.

1. Layers for All Occasions: When in doubt, layer it out! Whether it's a chilly commute or a fluctuating office temperature, layers are your best friend. Consider a tank underneath a sweater or tights paired with a dress for that perfect blend of warmth and style.

2. Chic Outerwear: Elevate your winter look with a long coat, a true winter wardrobe hero! Accessorize with a coordinating scarf, gloves, and hat. Pro tip: Make sure your pieces complement each other for that extra touch of sophistication.

3. Boots: Your Winter Allies: Boots are more than a winter necessity; they're a style statement. Keep those toes warm with your favorite boots while commuting, and swap them for office shoes upon arrival. For snowy days, pack your work shoes and strut in with confidence!

4. Embrace Thick Tights: Dresses and skirts can still be winter staples with the right layering. Opt for fleece-lined tights or leggings to stay cozy without sacrificing style. Layering is the key to winter fashion mastery!

5. Be Prepared with Extras: Keep an extra scarf or blazer at the ready for those unexpected cold snaps. It's the perfect way to add a quick layer of warmth without compromising your style.

Remember, winter workwear is not just about staying warm; it's an opportunity to showcase your style resilience. Embrace the season with confidence and stay chic, no matter how low the temperature drops. Click for winter work wardrobe inspiration and shopping guide

As we step into 2024, I'm thrilled to share our word for the year – AUDACITY. It means the willingness to take bold risks, and I believe it perfectly sums up the spirit needed to achieve the audacious goals and visions we've set for ourselves this year.

Interestingly, the word found its way to me after a week or so of contemplation.  A divine moment occurred when I stumbled upon an IG reel discussing the word audacity. It resonated deeply, directing that this word will be our guiding force throughout the year.

Audacious Faith for 2024:

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”  Matthew 17:20-21

We're ready to embrace challenges, take bold steps, and push boundaries. I encourage you to reflect on your goals for 2024 – what audacious dreams are you nurturing? Do you have a word for 2024?

The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes the temptation to shop till we drop. But before we give in to that FOMO (fear of missing out) feeling, let's take a moment to evaluate our wardrobe and spending goals. Companies strategically use the concept of FOMO to boost sales during the holiday season. Have you ever noticed when shopping online how you see notifications about how many people are looking at an item or only a few left? Just because it's on sale doesn't mean it belongs in our closet. As a personal stylist, I always encourage my clients to shop mindfully and make purchases that align with their personal style and budget. Remember, it's not about how many items we have in our wardrobe, but how each piece makes us look and feel. Happy shopping or shopping your closet!

If you need assistance with evaluating your wardrobe or online shopping, feel free to send me an email at stylist@fathiasavory.com. And to help you get started, I've compiled a list of my top 10 tips for online shopping.

10 TIPS FOR EFFICIENT ONLINE SHOPPING:

1. Know your measurements and use the size charts to determine best fit when selecting garment size. Use flexible measuring tape or string (lay flat to measure) to record your sizes.

Doing this ahead of time makes the online shopping experience easier, and returns too- you will have less returns by knowing your exact measurements! Make sure to update these measurements every 6 months.

2. Read the reviews for the retailer and individual garment items.

And not just the good ones! By reading the bad ones you get an indication of what went wrong and if it’s happened more than once.

3. Review in detail the return policy.

15 or 30 days? Store credit or full credit card refund? Paypal isn’t feasible, or it is ok to receive returns? Check it all out so that there are no surprises.

4. Establish a budget and stick to it.

Revisit this budget at least once per month to see if anything needs to be adjusted or if you are staying on track.

5. Look for those investment pieces.

The core of your wardrobe should be quality items that you can wear multiple times.

6. Price point does not equal quality.

Enough said!

7. Read details about the fabric.

Does the fabric flatter your body? How does the fabric feel against your skin? What are the care instructions?

8. Compare prices.

It’s hard to not get attached to an item when we see it, but it’s always a good idea to make sure we are getting the best deal possible. Then you can use any money you saved towards something else if you want to!

9. Keep a record of sites that you love along with sizes that worked for you.

The research is done, so now you can enjoy yourself without worry.

10. Make sure the website is secure and shop where you trust. Don't overshare your personal information.

Looking for things like “https” at the beginning of a URL is helpful.
